USA Team Handball Announces Launch of the National Beach Cup; Season Opens with SoCal Beach Handball Championship in Huntington Beach

Colorado Springs, CO – August 20, 2025 – USA Team Handball (USATH) today announced the establishment of the USATH National Beach Cup, a season-long competition designed to recognize the nation’s top beach handball clubs through participation in a series of designated “Triple Crown” events.
The American beach handball season will officially open this weekend at the SoCal Beach Handball Championship in Huntington Beach, California. The event marks the first step in what promises to be a landmark season for domestic beach handball competition.
The National Beach Cup “Triple Crown” Series will consist of three sanctioned tournaments:
- The 4th Annual Kentucky Classic, Sep. 6 & 7

Clubs competing in these events will earn points toward the National Beach Cup standings, with the cumulative results determining the season champion.

The points system governing the National Beach Cup may be accessed here, and will be formally incorporated into the USATH Competition Manual beginning September 1, 2025.
