Junior Pan American Games Final Roster Selected for Junior WNT

USA Team Handball announced today the 14 players named to the roster, and its six alternates, for the women's competition at the Junior Pan American Games, set to be held in Asuncion, Paraguay from August 9-16.

GOALKEEPERS: Kai Beary, Julia Malysz
BACKS: Vanessa Binderis, Lucie Braschoss, Isabela Da Cruz, Ia Hannevik, Mayte Martinez, Emma Ready, Hana Schlueter, Amanda Sumalla
WINGS: Viva Kreis, Hannah Yerman
PIVOTS: Hajnalka Penski, Maya Ready
The following athletes have been designated as alternates for the tournament (in alphabetical order): Zina Chaouch, Brittney Coon, Erin Jeong, Lisa Ready, Kuranda Ruggiero, Jacqueline Sandoval
This will be the second edition of the Junior Pan American Games, the first being in 2021, and the first inclusion of the United States in handball.
The Junior Women's National Team is coming off a Gold Medal at the Junior Pan American Games Continental Qualification in March, where newly appointed coaching staff led by Head Coach Thomas Baeckmann helmed the team to an undefeated performance to earn the program berth.
The US Women's Junior National Team, though subject to altered age restrictions on the path to the 2026 IHF Junior Women's World Championships, will take the court previous to the Junior Pan American Games at the Junior IHF Trophy Continental Phase in July, hosted by the Canadian Team Handball Federation.
