Education Opportunities and Grants #
The USOPC's Athlete Services awards over $500 thousand annually to Team USA athletes for education in the form of tuition grants. The Team USA Tuition Grants are intended to encourage athletes to further their education in preparation for lifelong career goals by defraying a portion of athletes.
Mental Health Resources #
As part of our mission, the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) is committed to promoting sustained well-being for Team USA athletes. More than ever, it is critical that the USOPC empower those who are in need to seek mental health assistance, while proactively delivering mental health resources and services. At the USOPC, we believe that competitive excellence and well-being work hand in hand, and at their best, reinforce one another. That is why we created the athlete services division in February 2019, to advance the support and resources available to Team USA athletes.

The team at the office of the athlete ombuds carries out this role with particular attention to the independence and confidentiality of our advice and our availability to assist all athletes without judgement or bias.
