Who Can Participate?

  • All U.S.-based athletes over the age of 16 are welcome.
  • High-performing athletes from all sporting backgrounds are encouraged to attend; no prior handball experience required.

This is the first step in a high-performance development pathway for any American athletes wishing to compete professionally and/or at the international level in handball.

In addition to attending athletes' opportunities to be connected with further USMNT training opportunities and potential playing opportunities with top senior Clubs in the United States, as many as 20 athletes will be selected to join an intensive 4–6 month handball training program at the new full-time USA Team Handball facility in Fort Pierce, Florida.

The program includes:

  • Professional training with the USA Men’s National Team Head Coach
  • Handball Training, Practice, and Recovery Facility Access on-site
  • Individualized strength & conditioning programs
  • Structured community engagement opportunities

This training block will prepare athletes for international joint training camps in Europe and other partner countries, with opportunities to gain experience at professional European clubs.

Important: Athletes selected for relocation to Fort Pierce will be responsible for their own housing and living arrangements, with logistical assistance provided by USATH and MNT staff.
