USA Team Handball Invites Applications for Senior National Team Head Coach Roles

Share:

USA Team Handball is seeking final applications for the positions of Head Coach – U.S. Women’s National Team and Head Coach – U.S. Men’s National Team, as well as for Assistant Coach and Team Leader roles within both programs.

Over the past several weeks, USATH has engaged in wide-ranging discussions and evaluations regarding the structure and direction of both senior national teams. This process—critical to aligning immediate performance goals with long-term support and expectations—has surfaced outstanding candidates and offered important insights into the evolving needs of our programs. As we now enter the narrowing and appointment phase, USATH invites final expressions of interest before concluding the search.

These are transformational roles. With the LA 2028 Olympic Games on the horizon and renewed energy across the American handball landscape, the next coaching staffs will have a defining opportunity to shape the future of the sport in the U.S.—not only through high-performance results, but through systems-building, domestic alignment, and mentorship of the next generation of elite athletes.

Applications are currently being accepted, with interviews continuing on a rolling basis. Prior coaching experience at the national team, international, or professional level is strongly preferred. Familiarity with Olympic sport systems, U.S. high-performance pathways, and team leadership in emerging markets are a plus.

How to Apply:

Please submit a résumé and letter of interest to michael.king@usateamhandball.org. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and final selections may be made as early as July 19, 2025.

USA Team Handball is committed to building athlete-centered programs led by ambitious, skilled, and collaborative leaders. If that describes you—or someone you know—we look forward to hearing from you.
