by USA Team Handball
Colorado Springs, CO — USA Team Handball is pleased to announce the appointment of Lyndon Suvanto as the new Head Coach of the Women’s Beach Senior National Team. Suvanto brings international experience as both a player and coach, having built a distinguished career representing the Canadian Men’s National Team on the indoor side.
Now based in Florida, Suvanto’s handball journey has taken him across multiple continents in both playing and coaching capacities. He has represented his country at numerous international competitions and brings a seasoned leadership perspective and a deep understanding of the game to the U.S. program.
“Lyndon’s background as an international player, coupled with his coaching experiences in diverse environments, make him uniquely suited to guide our women’s beach program as we elevate our competitiveness on the global stage,” said USA Team Handball CEO Michael King. “His perspective, leadership, and commitment to the athletes are exactly what we need as we build toward gaining and sustaining increased success at world-level competitions.”
Suvanto’s first assignment at the helm will come next month in Spain, as both the U.S. Women’s and Men’s teams compete at the IHF World Beach Tour Stage 2 event in Laredo.
