    Personal
    John was introduced to handball in August 2012 after a friend suggested he tryout for the USATH Residency Program. He was invited to join Residency Program in December 2013 and transferred from Miami University of Ohio to Auburn University to practice full-time under Coach Javier Garcia Cuesta.

    In high school, Evans was named captain of the varsity basketball team and received All-State Academic Honors. After college, he hopes to pursue a career in medicine.
