Personal
As a high school athlete Pierce played soccer, basketball and softball at Calvert.  Following that she played softball for three years at UNCW, graduating a year early to begin her master’s degree.  While working on her masters at Appalachian State she played softball for an additional year and then used her fifth year of eligibility to throw javelin for the Mountaineers.  She received her master’s degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning.
