USA Team Handball Reopens Athlete Selection for Women's Youth IHF Trophy Tournament in Mexico City

Colorado Springs, CO – September 8, 2025 — USA Team Handball is excited to announce that athlete selection for the upcoming Women's Youth IHF Trophy North America & Caribbean tournament has officially reopened. The prestigious international competition will take place November 12–16, 2025, in Mexico City, Mexico, and will feature the region’s top emerging handball talent.

This is a unique opportunity for eligible female athletes to represent Team USA on the international stage and compete against top U17 talent from across the continent.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Athletes must be 17 years of age or younger & 14 years old by the start of the tournament (born in 2008 or later, no younger than 11/12/2011 DOB)
• Athletes must possess a valid U.S. passport book

Athletes who meet these criteria and are interested in being considered for selection are invited to submit their interest via email to wntselections@handballusa.org. In the email, please include:

• Full name and date of birth
• Contact information
• A brief summary of handball or relevant athletic experience
• Current club or school affiliation
• Copy of valid U.S. passport (or note that it is in process)
