The 2025 US Open National Championships presented by Verizon wrapped on May 11 at TBK Bank Sports Complex, crowning Champions in Men's-Elite, Men's-Open, and Women's-Open Divisions over 60 matches across the three-day event.
Results saw the Women of New York City Team Handball Club (NYC) and the Men of Prairie Selects repeating as Open National Division National Champions. The NYC Women took the gold by virtue of a 31-23 Finals victory over Apex-Irvine Rogue, while Prairie Selects outlasted San Diego Team Handball Club 37-34 to claim the Men's Open Gold.
In the Men's Elite Division, New York City Team Handball Club's 1st Team reclaimed the Gold Medal for the first time since 2018, when it had then won seven of the previous eleven US Men's National Championships. By way of its 26-22 victory over New York Athletic Club, the NYC men now qualify for the North American and Caribbean Handball Confederation Continental Club Championships, taking place July 4-8 in Las Vegas, NV, where top teams from across the continent will compete for a berth in the IHF Club World Championships.
Rounding out the medal table, Denver Wolves claimed 3rd Place in Men's Elite, while New York Athletic Club's 2nd Men's Team, and the Chicago Inter Women took home bronze in the Open Divisions.
