WNT ROSTER SELECTED FOR NACHC CHAMPIONSHIPS

The final roster for the upcoming North American and Caribbean Handball Confederation (NACHC) Championship to take place in Nuuk, Greenland from June 4-11 was announced today by the Selection Committee, led by WNT Head Coach Edina Borsos.
Consisting of sixteen athletes, with two others being alternates, with the coaching staff being able to make roster moves during the tournament, the roster features a mix of both veteran presence as well as athletes newer to the national team fold.
The athletes selected are as follows:
Goalkeepers - Sophie Fasold, Sanna Wheeler
Wings - Ashley Butler, Beatriz Cangas Perez, Ariane Clerc, Julia Taylor, Maria Vallone
Pivots - Sarah Gascon, Payton McCartney
Backs - Cedar Bellows, Kathy Darling, Elizabeth Hartnett, Daisy Licea, Laisha Martinez, Zarinna Monroy, Katie Timmerman
Alternates - Julia Malysz, Taylee Tellechea
The United States will square off against Canada, Cuba, Mexico and hosts Greenland in a 5-team round robin group stage, with teams finishing 1-4 qualifying for the semifinals.
The winner of the tournament will be awarded a berth into the upcoming 2023 IHF Women’s Handball World Championship, set to be co-hosted by Denmark, Norway, and Sweden from November 29th to December 17th.
