USA Team Handball has partnered with etrainu to implement its first eLearning platform dedicated to their diverse community. The implementation of this platform aids their mission to be able to develop, promote, educate and grow the sport of Team Handball at all levels in the United States.

USA Team Handball (USATH) is the national governing body of Olympic handball and the only organization recognized by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee and International Handball Federation to lead handball initiatives in the United States. There are 35 clubs and over 1,200 participants in the United States.

etrainu is the preferred choice when it comes to online learning solutions tailored for the sports sector. The implementation of USA Team Handball’s very first eLearning platform is designed to provide accessible education that elevates the awareness of the sport for its new members while also providing certifications to its existing members to develop professionally.

The new eLearning platform will be easy-to-use and accessible via USATH’s membership portal, Sport:80. By virtue of the Sport:80 integration with etrainu, members' eLearning accounts will be automatically created and their log in authenticated using Single Sign-On (SSO).

The biggest benefit of implementing etrainu’s platform is the capability to host industry standard SCORM files, allowing for a more scalable and flexible environment. USATH will be able to create SCORM courses with an authoring tool to upload into the platform without added complexity or external reliance.

USATH will also benefit from etrainu’s prerequisite logic feature that enables linear course progression for users to follow as part of their learning journey. Level One Coach Certification and Level One Referee Certification courses will initially be made available upon first release. Over time, USATH will add Level Two, Level Three, and advanced certification courses to coaches and referees that will be programmed to follow prerequisite logic.

Ryan Johnson, Chief Executive Officer at USA Team Handball says, “As the national governing body for handball in the United States, it is paramount that we make education a top priority. Through our partnership with etrainu, coach and referee educational tools will be accessible for our entire community. We have very knowledgeable people in these disciplines in the US, and now we have a platform to make that information available for everyone.”

“We’re delighted to partner with USA Team Handball and play an instrumental part in helping their clubs, coaches, and referees gain access to quality educational resources,” said Cameron O’Riodan, VP of Sales & Revenue at etrainu. “We’re particularly confident to provide an integrated solution that will enable USA Team Handball to consolidate all learning in a single place to sync to their membership portal, and our partner, Sport:80.”

USA Team Handball will open the online learning platform initially to all of their members through their Sport80 platform with a projected launch of March 2023 with free member-only access to certification courses.
