Among the 14 selected athletes are 6 players (Ezekiel McClintock, Andrew Yoshioka, Aiden Bulow, Ian Hodgson, Chanwoo Lim and Aaron Wolf-Bloom) that competed at the 2022 USATH Youth National Championships where Cali Kings took home the title and SF CalHeat earned the silver medal. Plus having McClintock, Bulow and Hodgon included in the tournament All Star team, with Bulow as MVP, McClintock as MVG and Hodgson as Top Scorer.

Tristan Morawski is the only player with some experience playing for the National Team at friendly games with the Senior squad, all other players are newcomers to the U.S. Team and will be representing the Red, White and Blue for the first time on a Team Handball court.

The Youth IHF Trophy and NACHC Team Handball Championships will be taking place in Mexico City, Mexico from November 15-19. The USA Youth Men will be competing to advance into the Intercontinental face of the IHF Trophy in the case of winning the tournament, and qualifying for the IHF Youth World Championships if they finish in the top 2 positions.

“We are really excited to finally be able to compete at the continental level with the Youth team, it has been a long wait and it’s finally here. This is the beginning of the journey for all of the players with Team USA and we will try to make it a great experience for them. All the teams are coming as a mystery to this tournament as they are brand new young players competing for their first time, so we will analyze and adapt to the circumstances during the competition, but rest assured, we will do our best to place as high as possible and qualify for the next events.” - Martin Bilello, Head Coach.

Athletes interested in playing team handball can reach out to the coaches directly or use the Athlete Intake Form.
