USA Team Handball will be holding a combined Jr/Sr Women's National Team tryout in Barrington, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago) the 26th and 27th of February.

The Jr National Team Tryout is for the upcoming North American & Caribbean Handball Confederation (NACHC) Qualification Tournament for the IHF Jr Women's Handball World Championships later this summer in Slovenia (22 June to 3 July). The NACHC tournament starts the 3rd of April and will be held at the Mexican Olympic Training Center in Mexico City, Mexico. Mexico, Puerto Rico and Canada have also indicated that they will participate in the tournament. To be eligible to participate athletes need to have been born in the year 2002 or later.

The Sr National Team Tryout will be used to evaluate and identify athletes for future invitations to national team training camps tentatively planned for later this year in preparation for 2023 PANAM Games and 2023 IHF World Championship qualification events.

Athletes that wished to be considered for future competition, but are unable to attend the tryout should contact Craig Rot (craig@usateamhandball.org) or the USA Team Handball High Performance Manager, Krista Austin (Krista.Austin@usateamhandball.org). A tryout is also scheduled for 21-24 March at the Hungarian Handball Academy (NEKA) in Balatonboglár, Hungary.
