USA Team Handball (USATH) is pleased to announce the upcoming election for seats on its Athletes’ Advisory Council (AAC). This election represents a vital opportunity for national team athletes to have a direct voice in shaping the policies and direction of the sport in the United States.
The call for candidates will be open from February 7 through February 14, 2025, followed by the election period from February 17 through February 23, 2025.

To be eligible to run for a seat or to vote in the election, athletes must have been selected to a competition roster for the relevant senior National Team between March 1, 2023, and the present date (the past two years).
Election Process
Eligible athletes interested in running for a seat must submit their candidacy by February 14, 2025. Please see the link to the Candidate Nomination Form below. Candidate statements and election materials will be shared with eligible voters following the nomination period. Voting will take place electronically from February 17 to February 23, 2025.
Role of the Athletes’ Advisory Council
The AAC serves as the primary representative body for national team athletes within USA Team Handball, providing guidance on policies, governance, and key decisions that impact the athlete community. Serving alongside the three athlete representatives to the USATH Board of Directors, Council members play an essential role in advocating for athlete interests and ensuring their voices are heard at the organizational level.
USA Team Handball encourages all eligible athletes to participate in this important process—whether by running for a seat or by exercising their right to vote.
