Rocky Hill High School University of Alabama ('15)

Son of Dorothy and Tom…Was introduced to handball through his parents who both were National Team players in the 80’s…Ty's mother, Dorothy Franco, was a handball Olympian in 1984, and father, Tom, was an alternate for the 1988 U.S. National Team…In High School, Ty lettered in five sports in Connecticut…Played Division I football at the University of Alabama as a wide receiver.

  • 2018 North American and Caribbean Championships - 5th (Mexico City, Mexico)
  • 2018 Michael Lipov Memorial Tournament (New York Athletic Club) - Top Scorer
  • 2018 West Point Team Handball Tournament (New York Athletic Club) - MVP
  • 2018 U.S. Open National Championships (New York Athletic Club) - 3rd, Elite Division
  • 2017 U.S. Open National Championships (United HC) - 2nd & Top-Five Scorer, Elite Division
  • 2016 Pan American Championships - 7th (Buenos Aires, Argentina)
  • 2016 U.S. Open National Championships (United HC) - 3rd
  • 2015 "Last-Chance" Pan American Games Qualifier - 2nd
  • 2014: Named to Senior Men's National Team Player Pool
  • 2010-2014: Played Division I football (wide receiver) at the University of Alabama (SEC)
