Daughter of Melinda and Posey…Sister of Karly and Kourtney…Was a basketball and soccer player at Slippery Rock Area High School…Holds the school records for points and goals scored, respectively, and is the all-time leading scorer in Butler County, male or female…First learned about handball through her mother, Melinda Rhoads, a member of the 1984 U.S. Women's Olympic Handball Team…Attneded the tryout for the USATH Residency Program after Melinda learned about the program at the 30th Olympic reunion in Colorado Springs…Joined the Residency Program and has been an athlete with USA Team Handball ever since, competing at the national and international levels…Was an accomplished basketball player before handball…Played NCAA Division I collegiate basketball at Vanderbilt University, where she was a four-year scholarship athlete and starting point guard…Also played professional basketball in Europe for three years after college, playing in Iceland and Romania and achieving team and personal accolades.
