Junior Women's Roster Announced For IHF Trophy Tournament In December

USA Team Handball's Junior Women's National Team is set to compete at the IHF Trophy tournament in Mexico City, Mexico from December 9-13.


Fourteen athletes have been selected to represent the United States at the tournament.


The selected athletes are:

Goalkeepers - Lani Gronwald, Julia Malysz

Backs - Isabela Da Cruz, Lovia Dobreff, Ana Garcia, Ia Mathilde Hannevik, Daisy Licea, Maya Ready

Wings - Viva Kreis, Mayte Martinez Campos, Eden Nesper, Amanda Sumalla

Line Players - Hanna Faulkner, Hajnalka Penszki


The technical staff will consist of Hendrik Schultze, Edina Borsos, and Pauline Marangoni.
The United States will be joined at the tournament by Canada, Cuba, Haiti, Martinique, Puerto Rico, and hosts, Mexico.


Before the beginning of the tournament, the squad will convene in Mexico City for a training camp from December 4th to 8th, in an effort to build chemistry before the IHF Trophy.


The last visit to Mexico for the Junior Women's National Team saw them claim a silver medal at the 2022 U20 North American and Caribbean Handball Confederation (NACHC) Championship, with eight players from that squad taking part in this IHF Trophy tournament.
