Women's Sr Beach Handball National Team Roster Announcement

The 10 athletes (and 4 alternates) that will represent the U.S. at the North American & Caribbean Handball Confederation (NACHC) Senior Beach Handball Championships have been selected.

The selection committee consisted of Sr Women's National Team Coach, Lisa Dunn, Sr Women's National Team Assistan Coach, Michelle Mensing, Athlete's Advisory Council (AAC) Representatives Ebiye Udo-Udoma and JD Orr and High Performance Manager, Krista Austin.
Among the 10 selected athletes are 6 members (Bellows, Brown, Heeley, Mansour, Self, and Van Ryn) of the 2019 World Beach Games team. Rachel Wong Walker is also rejoining the national team after her previous participation in the Pan American Championships. These returning athletes will be joined by debutants Cecilia Agraz, Emma Johnson and Isabelle Gosar.
The NACHC Beach Handball Championships will be in Acapulco, Mexico from April 24-29. The USA Women will be defending their title from 2019 and competing for the top two spots that will qualify the team for the 2022 IHF Sr Women's Beach Handball World Championships in Crete, Greece, June 21-26.
"This has been one of the most competitive selections yet. It demonstrates that our program is growing, and that new talents are emerging to challenge our existing player pool" - Michelle Mensing, Assistant Coach.

The next tryout opportunity for athletes will take place in May to select the team traveling to the World Championships (pending qualification) in Greece (June 2022) and the World Games in Birmingham, Alabama (July 11-15 2022).
