The tournament will be a round robin format Monday - Wednesday with placement matches on Friday. The top 2 teams in the round robin standings will play in the championship match and qualify for the IHF Jr World Championships later this summer in Slovenia
USA Jr Women's Head Coach Craig Rot on tonight's match: "Canada is a familiar foe, as they were in Chicago for a joint training camp and tournament with us a few weeks before the pandemic shut the world down. We’ve had a great training camp in Mexico City, and now it’s time to do the real work of winning games and championships. Today that journey begins."
