Selection Process Opens for 2026 U19 Men's IHF Trophy

USA Team Handball has opened the athlete availability process for selection to the U.S. Men’s U19 National Team that will compete at the 2026 IHF Trophy – North American & Caribbean Championship, scheduled for October 5–10, 2026, in Puerto Rico.

The championship will serve as a qualification event for the IHF Intercontinental Trophy in Spring 2027, where the U.S. Men’s U19 Team earned a bronze medal in its most recent appearance, as well as for the IHF Men’s U19 World Championship, to be held in Summer 2027.

Eligible athletes interested in being considered for nomination must make themselves available through Sport:80. Athletes must be at least 16 years old and must not have been born before 2008.

Athlete selection will be conducted in accordance with the published USA Team Handball Selection Procedures for the 2026 IHF Trophy Junior and Youth Men’s teams, available here.

Submitting availability through Sport:80 does not guarantee selection. Final nominations and team selection will be made consistent with the approved selection procedures, eligibility requirements, and team needs.
