The USA Team Handball Nominating and Governance Committee has completed its review and certification process. Ten candidates have been certified to stand for election for General Membership Director. The certified candidate slate and candidates’ submitted public statements have been added below.

USA Team Handball will conduct its election for General Membership Director to the USA Team Handball Board of Directors beginning August 24, with the voting system closing August 30.

The number of applications received by the candidate submission deadline required additional time for the Nominating and Governance Committee (NGC) to complete its review and certification of candidates' eligibility to stand for election. As a result, the voting period was adjusted from the timeline initially announced in the call for candidates published in June.

The NGC has now completed its review and certification process. Ten candidates have been certified to stand for election for the General Membership Director seat with a term beginning January 1, 2027.

Election Opens: August 24 at 3:01 AM US Eastern Time / 12:01 AM Pacific

Election Closes: August 30 at 3:00 AM US Eastern Time / 12:00 AM Pacific

Term Begins: January 1, 2027

Voting

Voting will be open to eligible USA Team Handball members in accordance with the membership and voting requirements established by the USA Team Handball Bylaws.

Because more than two candidates have been certified to stand for election, voting will be conducted using ranked-choice voting. Members will rank candidates in order of preference on a single ballot.

Further communications will be sent directly by email to eligible members with the certified candidate slate and instructions for participating in the election.

The following candidates have been certified by the Nominating and Governance Committee to stand for election. Candidate statements are published as submitted by each candidate in response to the candidate questionnaire.
