USA Men and Women Take Continental Double Gold, Qualify to Beach World Championship
The United States delivered a statement performance on the sand, with both the Men’s and Women’s National Teams capturing gold medals at the 2026 NACHC Beach Handball Championships, held April 24–26 in Saint Kitts and Nevis.
The U.S. Men’s Beach National Team produced a flawless campaign, powering through the tournament without dropping a single set. Their consistency, defensive discipline, and clinical finishing set the tone from the opening match through the gold medal final, leaving no doubt about their status atop the region.
The Women’s Beach National Team was nearly as dominant, conceding just one set each in bookending the competition. Dropping a set in their opening match to Canada and in the Gold Medal match to Puerto Rico, they secured both victories in shootouts to complete an undefeated gold medal performance.
Leading the way for the women was Rachel Wong, who earned Top Scorer honors for the tournament.
With regional titles secured, both teams now shift their focus to the global stage. Preparations are already underway for the 2026 IHF Beach Handball World Championships, set to take place June 23–28 in Croatia.
The dual gold-medal performance in St. Kitts and Nevis not only reinforces the United States’ position as a regional powerhouse on the sand, but also builds momentum heading into one of the sport’s premier international competitions.
As the countdown to Croatia begins, both squads will look to translate their dominant continental form into success against the world’s best.
