Kohn, a specialist in the Virginia Army Guard, is one of several fellow U.S. Olympic bobsled teammates that benefited from the Army's World Class Athlete Program, which is based at Fort Carson near Colorado Springs, Colorado. Other members of the program include Darrin Steele, Dan Steele, Garrett Hines, and Doug Sharp.
