- Selected to the 2006 U.S. Olympic Figure Skating Team, following Michelle Kwan's withdrawal
- Finished third at the 2006 U.S. Nationals behind Sasha Cohen and Kimmie Meissner
- Older sister, Sarah, won the ladies gold medal at 2002 Olympic Winter Games
- 2005 World Junior bronze medalist
- In 2005, was top six at U.S. Nationals (6th); U.S. Figure Skating Challenge (5th); Skate America (5th); Cup of Russia (5th)
- For the 2005-2006 season, short program music is "Concerto in F Major for Piano & Orchestra (Allegro)" by George Gershwin; and free skate music: "The Seasons" by Alexander Glazunov.
- Finished 11th in two consecutive Junior National Championships, 2002, 2003
- Coached by Bonni Retzkin since day one of her skating career
- Began skating at the age of 3
- Enjoys attending events for charities, including those for breast cancer and children
- Subject of the 2002 Random House's Young Dreamers series, "I Am a Skater"
Coach says of Emily: "We can communicate by just looking at each other. She can make one little motion with her finger and I know what she means."
