- Qualified for the 2006 U.S. Olympic Team in biathlon, along with her twin sister, Tracy Barnes
- 2002 Junior World Championship bronze medallist in 15K Individual and silver in Women's Relay
- 2005 World Championship team member
- Top finishes were 39th (career best) and 42nd in two 15K World Cups in 2005 and 2004 respectively
- Qualified for US World Cups in 2004

On competing with her twin sister: "I think that’s one of the greatest advantages that we have is being able to have your strongest competitor next to you pretty much every day, training and pushing you. We’re probably our biggest competitors, but I’m just as happy to see Tracy on top of the podium as myself.”
