- 2002 World Championships silver medal team member
- Did not play in the 2002 World Championship finals loss to Italy because of an eye injury suffered in practice.
- Returned to U.S. National Team in 2002 after playing 12 years professionally overseas in Italy at the advice of fellow national team member Tara Cross-Battle, who had signed on with Phipps' Italian team.
- At the age of 20, tested positive for marijuana in a random drug test early in 1990 and was banished from the U.S. National Team.
