U.S. Olympic Internship Program

The United States Olympic Committee conducts an internship program for college students that follows the traditional college semesters -- fall, winter/spring and summer. The internship sites are at Colorado Springs, Colo., Lake Placid, N.Y., and Chula Vista, Calif. Positions are either with the USOC or its sport National Governing Bodies (i.e., Archery, Swimming, Volleyball, etc.).

Interns live at Olympic Training Centers and eat their meals at the Athletes’ Dining Hall.  A small stipend is also provided.

The program offers internships in the areas of:  broadcasting, journalism, marketing, sports administration, culinary nutrition and sport science (strength and conditioning or training/performance).

To be eligible for the internship program, students must have completed at least two years of college before the start of the internship and be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited United States college or university.  Internships are competitive.

To apply for an internship with the USOC, you must apply on an official application form and attach a resume and an official grade transcript. To receive more information and an application form send an e-mail to internprog@usoc.org

During summers only, the USOC offers a law clerk position.  Applicants for that position must have completed one year of law school before the start of the clerkship.  The clerk position is competitive.  Applications are due by January 30.  To receive a job description and an application form, send an e-mail to internquestions@usoc.org
