In 2003 the Anshutz Entertainment Group developed and now operate a 125 acre facility in Carson, California which is located on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills. The site offers a 27,000 capacity soccer stadium, a 13,000 capacity tennis stadium, a track and field facility with seating capacity up to 20,000, 30 hard or clay tennis courts, 9 soccer training fields (1 artificial surface), an indoor velodrome with a 3,500 seat capacity, and a 3 mile jogging trail with 12 fitness stations around the perimeter of the center. The site offers modern, expansive and state of the art event facilities in a two level support building. The building contains 10 locker/dressing rooms, 3,000 square foot weight room, 2 athletic training rooms, 2 player lounges, a commissary, laundry facilities, press facilities, storage and office space. The site has already hosted major events for track and field and soccer and has major events planned in 2004, 2005 and 2006 for tennis and cycling.
