ARCHERY:
Ongoing Resident Team Training (19 participants)
- Daily training and instruction for resident archery squad
o Participants include three-time Olympian Khatuna Lorig and 2000 Olympian Karen Scavotto
Olympic Selection Shoot, March 31-April 9 (42 participants)
- Selection process for 2008 Olympic Team
- Elite competition for top U.S. Archers as field will be narrowed to top-eight men and top-eight women

ATHLETICS:
Ongoing Resident Team Training (28 participants)
- Long-term training program for track and field athletes
o Participants include 2004 Olympians Toby Stevenson, Tim Mack, Ian Waltz, Jarred Rome, Monique Henderson, Stacy Dragila and Tora Harris
Team Running USA, April 8-May 17 (12 participants)
- Sea-level training camp for long distance running group as they prepare for Olympic Trials

BOBSLED/SKELETON:
Spring/Summer Training, April 9-September 30 (19 participants)
- General fitness and warm weather training for Men’s and Women’s Bobsled and Skeleton Teams

CANOE/KAYAK:
Sprint Resident Program (18 participants)
- Long-term training program for sprint kayak athletes
o Participants include 2004 Olympians Carrie Johnson, Jeff Smoke and Rami Zur
Olympic K-4 Select 2 Camp, February 8-April 6 (1 participant)
- Evaluate K-4 boat combinations to determine squad for 2008 Continental Olympic Qualifier

CYCLING:
BMX Resident Team Training (7 participants)
- Long-term training program for Men’s and Women’s BMX athletes
o Participants include Steven Cisar, Mike Day, Amanda Geving, Kim Hayashi, Jill Kintner and Arielle Martin

BMX Pre-Event Training, April 28-May 5 (18 participants)
- Elite athlete training camp in preparation for UCI Super-Cross Race in Copenhagen

FIELD HOCKEY:
Women’s Resident Team Training (30 participants)
- Long-term training program for Women’s National Field Hockey Team

INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS:
Senegal Kayak Program, January 1-August 31 (1 participant)
- Long-term international training program for Assane Fall, sprint kayak athlete from Senegal
o Fall recently competed at the African Championships and took second place, qualifying himself to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing
Hong Kong Track and Field Program, January 1-August 31 (1 participant)
- Long-term international training program for Tang Yik Chun, a sprinter from Hong Kong
Hungarian Women’s Kayak Training, February 29-April 1 (9 participants)
- Warm-weather training for Hungarian Women’s Kayak Team
Argentina Women’s Field Hockey Training, March 29-April 7 (23 participants)
- Friendly training and competition between U.S. and Argentina Women’s Field Hockey Teams
German Pole Vault Training, April 2-24 (15 participants)
- Warm-weather training for German Pole Vault athletes
British Jumps Training, April 2-May 2 (7 participants)
- Warm-weather training for British High Jump, Long Jump and Triple Jump athletes
Canada Field Hockey Training, April 3-9 (25 participants)
- Friendly competition between U.S. and Canada Women’s Field Hockey Teams
Finland Throws Training, April 15-May 13 (6 participants)
- Warm weather training for Finnish Javelin athletes
Multi-Nation Throws Camp, April 15-May 13 (13 participants)
- Warm-weather training for Discus and Shot Put athletes from Denmark and Estonia
Chinese Soccer Team Training, April 17-21 (35 participants)
- Training camp for Chinese Men’s National Soccer Team
Norway Throws Camp, April 20-May 2 (3 participants)
- Warm-weather training for Norwegian throwers
German Throws Camp, April 23-May 12 (9 participants)
- Warm-weather training for German throwers
Swedish Throws Camp, April 27-May 5 (4 participants)
- Warm-weather training for Swedish women throwers

PARALYMPIC SPORTS:
Track and Field Resident Team Training (15 participants)
- Long-term training program for Paralympic track and field athletes
o Participants include 2004 Paralympians Marlon Shirley, April Holmes, Jeff Skiba, Nelacey Porter, Royal Mitchell and Casey Tibbs
Spring Cycling Camp, April 9-19 (24 participants)
- Elite level training camp for Paralympic cyclists as they prepare for 2008 Paralympic Trials and Paralympic Games
High Performance Track & Field Training Camp, April 21-28 (21 participants)
- Elite training camp for ambulatory Paralympic athletes as they prepare for 2008 outdoor track & field season

TRIATHLON:
Triathlon Spring Training Camp, February 26-April 26 (6 participants)
- Warm weather, sea-level training for Elite Triathletes


UPCOMING COMMUNITY APPEARANCES:

# Various Olympic hopefuls will speak to Chula Vista Elementary School Classes during their Exercise the Dream sessions at the Olympic Training Center. Dates: April 15, 16, 17, 22, 23


Recent Results
BMX Cycling:
Resident Athlete Jill Kintner (Seattle, Wash.) took first place at the BMX National Championships in Desoto, Texas on March 29. Resident Athlete Arielle Martin (Salt Lake City, Utah) was runner-up.
