USOC and ATT Commemorate Year-Out Date with Celebration

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) and USOC Corporate Sponsor AT&T will commemorate the Year-Out countdown to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China on Wednesday, August 8 with a celebration for resident athletes of the U.S. Olympic Training Center (OTC) in Colorado Springs. The festivities, which will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. M.T., will include Beijing-inspired entertainment, cultural demonstrations and food.
Additionally, the second AT&T Athlete Connections Center will debut on Wednesday, August 8 at the OTC in Colorado Springs. The AT&T Connections Center provides a place for athletes to enjoy state-of-the-art AT&T entertainment and communications services as part of the athletes’ rest and recovery program. The first AT&T Connections Center opened at the Chula Vista OTC in March. The centers feature Wi-Fi, wireless services, AT&T | DISH Satellite Network service, and AT&T Yahoo!® High Speed Internet service, which enables convenient, fast and reliable access to e-mail services and online gaming. Photo opportunities of the AT&T Connections Center will be made available for interested media.
