USA Badminton National Champions Crowned at 2007 U.S. National Badminton Championships in Orange, Calif.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Badminton has crowned its 2007 National Champions following the conclusion of the 2007 K&D Graphics U.S. Adult National Badminton Championships over the weekend in Orange, Calif. U.S. National Champions were crowned in men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles.
To no one’s surprise, Howard Bach (San Francisco, Calif./Orange, Calif.) was the star of the show, winning three gold medals. Bach won gold in men’s doubles (with Khan “Bob” Malaythong - Rockville, Md./Orange, Calif.), mixed doubles (with Eva Lee - Orange, Calif.) and in men’s singles. Bach is concentrating on men’s and mixed doubles on the international level, but proved that he still has what it takes when he goes it alone as well.
Joo Hyun Lee (Orange, Calif.) was the big winner on the women’s side, taking the title in women’s singles, as well as women’s doubles with partner, Yun “Grace” Peng (Orange, Calif.)

The U.S. National Badminton Championships, first held in Chicago, Ill. In 1937 is sanctioned by USA Badminton, the National Governing Body for the sport of badminton in the United States. This year’s tournament was the 67th U.S. National Badminton Championships.
