U.S. Shooters Close Out Pan Ams With 22 Medals

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (July 21, 2007) – The U.S. Shooting Team wrapped up competition today at the 2007 Pan American Games. The Team finished out the event with a total of 22 medals including 10 gold.
Jamie Beyerle (Lebanon, Pa.) contributed to the medal count by claiming the top spot in the Women’s 50 Meter Rifle 3 Position event. Teammate Amanda Furrer (Spokane, Wash.) added to the hardware count by taking home the bronze medal.
In the Men’s Skeet event, U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU) members Vincent Hancock (Eatonton, Ga.) and James Graves (Laurel, Miss.) added to the medal collection by earning the gold and silver medals.
