Domestic Trial #2 Olympic Training Center Colorado Springs, Colorado. September 22, 2007

The following is an important announcement pertaining to Domestic Trial #2 that will take place at the Olympic Training Center (OTC) in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Saturday, September 22, 2007.
As per the 2007 Athlete Support Criteria http://www.usolympicteam.com/AthleteSupportCriteria-2007Final_March9.pdf, and in the August 9 announcement, athletes will have the opportunity to meet the Run, Swim, Shoot standard in the Senior Division at the Domestic Trial #2, to be considered into the OTC Resident & Training Program until January 2008. Specific dates will be posted at a later date.
The revised Run, Swim, Shoot standards as posted on August 9 are:
Men – 3,400 points (Run, Swim, Shoot)
Women – 3,300 points (Run, Swim, Shoot)
Athletes that have already made the Run, Swim, Shoot standard since February 2007 are not required to compete in Domestic Trial #2. Any athlete that has not met the Run, Swim, Shoot standard and wishes to remain or gain entry into the OTC Resident & Training Program must meet the standard above.
Due to the low number of participants registered for the trial the competition schedule as been reduced to the three disciplines; Running, Swimming & Shooting. Both the men’s and women’s competition will take place on Saturday, September 22, 2007.
There will be a Technical Meeting on Friday, September 21, 2007 at 7:00pm in the Silver Room in the Athletes Center of the OTC. The official competition start times will be released at the Technical Meeting.
Since only three of the five disciplines will be competed, no IPPS points will be awarded for this competition. As well, there is no registration fee for the Domestic Trial.
A maximum of 17 athletes are be eligible to stay at the Olympic Training Center (OTC) for the competition with space available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The cost per night to stay at the OTC is $40.00 per night and $25 per day for meals only. Full payment will need to be made out to the USOC and paid at the Technical Meeting on Friday, September 21, 2007.
The deadline for the Domestic Trial application was Monday, September 10, 2007. Late registrations will not be accepted.
