Krueger, Truelove Selected USA Water Ski's March Athletes of the Month

USA Water Ski has selected Freddy Krueger (Winter Garden, Fla.) and Karen Truelove (Winter Garden, Fla.) as its Male and Female Athletes of the Month for March. The U.S. Wakeboard Team was selected as Team of the Month. Krueger, Truelove and the U.S. Wakeboard Team will now be eligible for the United States Olympic Committee's Athletes and Team of the Month honors.
The husband-wife duo of Freddy Krueger and Karen Truelove won titles at the 46th Moomba Masters water ski tournament, March 9-12, in Melbourne, Australia. Krueger won his third career Moomba Masters' Men's jumping title with a leap of 217 feet (66.2 meters) and Truelove won her third career Moomba Masters' Women's slalom title, scoring 1 buoy at 38 feet off.
The U.S. Wakeboard Team finished second in the team competition at the IWSF Pan Am Region Wakeboard Championships, March 8-9, in Miami, Fla. Canada won the team competition totaling 505 points, while the United States finished runner-up with 485 points. Members of the U.S. Wakeboard Team were: Andrew Adkison (Windermere, Fla.), Adam Errington (Orlando, Fla.), Austin Hair (Tega Cay, S.C.), Trevor Hansen (Groveland, Fla.), Phillip Soven (Longwood, Fla.) and J.D. Webb (Lake Alfred, Fla.).
USA Water Ski was formed in 1939 as a non-profit organization promoting water skiing in the United States. USA Water Ski is affiliated with the International Water Ski Federation (world governing body) and is recognized by the United States Olympic Committee and Pan-American Sports Organization as the national governing body of organized water skiing in the United States. With more than 30,000 members, USA Water Ski is the largest water ski federation in the world.
