USA Luge and the Six Flags Great Escape Team for a Waterslide Challenge

LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. --- USA Luge and the Six Flags Great Escape, in Lake George, N.Y., have teamed together to offer the USA Luge Waterslide Challenge, Friday, July 13. The free event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. “Sliders” who register will have the opportunity to take timed runs down one of the Great Escape’s waterslides. USA Luge’s national team athletes will be on hand to help instruct, meet and greet with fans as well as sign autographs. A DJ will be on-site to provide entertainment, energize the spectators, and familiarize the crowd with the athletes and the sport.
Times will be displayed on a digital readout for the entire crowd to see. Races will be held in four categories: girls, boys, men and women. Following the races, an awards ceremony will be held, with prizes given out to the top five finishers in each category. The event is supported by sponsors including CinemaSource, CW-X, Dow Chemical, Karbon, Masley Enterprises/Glove Force, Norton-Saint Gobain Abrasives, Panasonic and U-Haul
