Synchronized figure skating finishes fourth at World University Games

TORINO, Italy – The United States Synchronized Figure Skating Team finished the 2007 Winter World University Games in Torino, Italy in fourth place, as the event made its Winter Universiade debut in Torino, Italy. At the Palavela tonight, Team USA skated to a free skate total of 110.76 in the debut of their new long program. Combined with last night’s short program the team combined for a total of 172.62 points. The U.S. finished behind Sweden (gold/199.3); Finland (silver/194.8) and Russia (bronze/182.5). The order of finish was the same for both the short and long program.
Though hoping for a medal, the team from Miami University of Ohio was honored to represent the United States of America.
