MNT Roster Selected for NACHC Beach Handball World Championship Qualification Tournament

USA Team Handball's Beach Men's National Team will head to the sand of San Juan, Puerto Rico for the upcoming North America and Caribbean Handball Confederation (NACHC) Beach Handball Qualification Championship, set to be held from April 11th to 14th.
Ten athletes have been selected to represent the United States at the tournament, which serves as the region’s qualifier for the 2024 IHF Beach Handball World Championships, staged by China in June.
The selected athletes are:

Alex Browne
Cody Dominik
Drew Donlin
Mohamed Fofana
Jacobo Garcia
Willard Johnson
Ebiye Udo-Udoma
Jamison Whiting
Bob Wise
The most recent tournament for the Beach Men’s National Team, the Internacional Balonmano de Playa, where the squad brought home the Gold Medal, defeating Mexico in the Championship match. At that tournament, Jason Borchik was awarded Most Valuable Player and Jamison Whiting secured Best Defender.
The US looks to return to the global stage at the World Championship, where the 2022 edition saw the American side finish in 12th place. Cody Dominik finished that tournament with 110 points, tied for 10th place on the Top Scorers list.
Even given their recent success and veteran squad - outside of Bob Wise who is making his international debut - the athletes and coaches understand the challenge that faces them on the sand in San Juan.
“The countries in our region are exceptional and all very motivated to win. We are going against some tremendous athletes and highly experienced coaches from really competitive programs,” Head Coach Michael Hinson said.
“The staff has been working hard and feel very confident the team is prepared. The athletes have been working exceptionally hard and are very eager to demonstrate the work they have put in during the offseason,” he added. “This looks to be the most competitive tournament in our region since being formed and each game promises to come down to 1-2 plays.”
